· Crucial Conversations- a guide for navigating high-stakes conversations without escalating tension or becoming defensive. The book focuses on human relationships and how people can build and maintain bonds through communication. It suggests that knowing how to talk to people and handle difficult conversations is key to success and personal health.

· Leadership and Self Deception- Through a relatable story about a man facing challenges on the job and in his family, Leadership and Self-Deception exposes the fascinating ways we can blind ourselves to our true motivations and unwittingly sabotage the effectiveness of our own efforts at success and happiness. It then illuminates the counterintuitive ways you can dramatically improve both your results and your relationships.

· The Unspoken Rules by Gorick NG- A guide for early-career professionals, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, on how to navigate the transition from school to work and advance to leadership positions. · The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey - A transformative guide for personal and professional success. It emphasizes proactive thinking, prioritization, effective communication, collaboration, and personal growth. Covey’s seven habits— being proactive, beginning with the end in mind, putting first things first, thinking win- win, seeking to understand before being understood, synergizing, and sharpening the saw—empower individuals to take control of their lives, align their actions with their values, and build meaningful relationships. By practicing these habits, readers can enhance their effectiveness, achieve their goals, and experience greater fulfillment in all aspects of life.

· The Dichotomy of Leadership - Jocko Willink and Leif Babin share real-life combat and training experiences highlighting the ultimate dichotomy of caring deeply for team members while holding them accountable. During a mission in Iraq, a SEAL team was tasked with capturing a High-value Target (HVT). · Lynn G. Robbins 100 Percent Responsible - In summary, being 100 percent responsible is accepting yourself as the person in control of your life. If others are at fault and need to change before further progress is made, then you are at their mercy and they are in control over the positive outcomes or desired results in your life. Agency and responsibility are inseparably connected. You cannot avoid responsibility without also diminishing agency.

He describes this phenomenon as “The Golden Circle,” at the center of which is the “Why?” that drives successful leaders.

· Celeste Headlee Ted Talk 10 Ways to Have a Better Conversation- 10 valuable pieces of advice to help leaders have a conversation with anyone, even if the discussion turns difficult. With points like admitting when you don’t know something, avoiding pontification, and practicing active listening, Celeste encourages leaders to be open-minded, brief, and engaged. This talk is a worthwhile listen for anyone who hopes to have better conversations and leaders who want tips for navigating tense moments.
